Are You in Touch With Your Inner M?
"M" is for Motivation. What motivates you to do a good job? Is it a sense of achievement? Recognition for a job well done? Helping people? Desire for responsibility? Solving problems? Making more money? You should give some thought to what motivates you to do your job better and allows you to feel a real sense of job satisfaction. Motivation is one of those thought-provoking questions that some interviewers may ask you while you're interviewing for a job. Be prepared to answer the question: What motivates you? Prepare for this challenging question in advance so you won't ramble if asked. Having a motivated employee may be one of the qualities an interviewer wants to see during the interview, so think about the times you really felt enthusiastic and/or energized at work. My very first article which I published sometime last year dealt with the topic of positive thinking and success. We encounter constant changes throughout our life; it could be educational, health, relationships or financial, and of course with oneself. Maintaining or increasing one's sense of self-worth and happiness are strong incentives for these changes. So why is it not good? It is not good because it is not yet a reality! A dream is no good if it is only a dream. Sure a dream can make you feel good but long-term, if you don't pursue it and make it a reality, it will cause you frustration more than anything. But there is hope! What is Your Challenge January is almost over. Believe It's like that old joke about how long did it take Bell to discover the light bulb. Then realizing it was Edison who did it. Though I like to think he developed it rather than discovered. He was much more methodical and had a set goal in mind. The Lies We Live By How many times have you lied to get your way? So What Is Your Real Motivation? We are all guilty of wanting to change our circumstances, bettering ourselves and altering our life's plans, but unfortunately a lot of us fail to see the bigger picture. In fact many of us don't even realise that there may be a bigger picture.
